iostream.h Header File Not Supporting in Dev C++ Windows 64bit x64 [solved]_How To Do C++ Programming in Dev C++

Hi Friends, I'm Sujoy from India. And I'm back with another technology article for you.
Today I'll tell you about how to do C programming and C++ programming on your Windows x64 PC or laptop. Lots of users ask me what is the best C++ compiler and IDE for Windows 8 64bit and Windows 7 64bit computer/laptop/pc? We all loved the Borland Turbo C++ IDE on our older 32bit Pentium or Celeron PCs/laptops running Windows XP; and many of us learned programming using the Borland Turbo C++. But Borland Turbo C++ is not officially available for 64bit versions of Windows 7 or Windows 8. However you can run older Borland Turbo C++ v3.0 using DOSBox on Windows 7 and 8.

But the problem is, the compiler itself is 16 bit, which runs virtually under DOSBox. And being a 16bit compiler, after compiling a program, the executable file which it produces (Windows .exe file) is itself 16bit. So you can't run the .exe file individually as standalone executable file on Windows 64bit computer. You've to generate the .exe file by compiling the original .cpp source-code every time from inside the DOSBox Turbo C++ to run them. And if you want to distribute your programs to your friend/colleague, he/she has to do the same in order to run them if they are on a 64bit machine.

Also the older Borland Turbo C++ v3.0 provides you with an older no graphical type of interface. Where everything runs slow and copy-pasting is difficult and managing large source-codes are tough. And you can't have a program name more than 8 characters!

So, as you can see, this solution is not optimal. So we've to move to a modern Compiler & IDE. And you can make 64bit codes supporting dynamic programming which can use all the capabilities of your modern 64bit processor. I'd suggest using Dev C++.  In that you can choose compiler version- 32bit or 64bit.
But there’s one problem with Dev C++.  That I'll tell you how to solve.

Problem Description:
In older Borland Turbo C++ IDE, we could directly write a simple 'Hello World' C++ program like below-

#include<iostream.h>
#include<conio.h>
int main()
{
cout<<"Hello World";
getch();
return 0;
}

But when I tried the same code in Dev C++, I got the following error- 1  21           C:\Users\Sujoy Krishna Das\Documents\Dev C++\Hello World.cpp [Error] iostream.h: No such file or directory  - compilation terminated.

The problem seems with the iostream.h header file, Dev C++ can't recognize it. And without the iostream.h header file, we can't do C++ programming. How did I fix it? Read below.

Problem Solution-
You need to do little modification in the code to run it on Dev C++. I used the Dev C++ v5.8.3. The updated code is below.

#include<iostream>
#include<conio.h>
using namespace std;
int main()
{
cout<<"Hello World";
getch();
return 0;
}

And it ran successfully!

Explanation-
What changes did I do? Dev C++ supports newer ANSI C++.  That has gone through many changes. In older style compiler IDE like Borland Turbo C++, you could use the <iostream.h> header file, now you've to use the ANSI C++ version-  <iostream> only. And another is using namespace std; . Where using & namespace are the two keywords of ANSI C++ and std is the namespace where ANSI C++ standard class libraries are defined.

In short, you have to write #include<iostream> and using namespace std; at the beginning of every program in Dev C++. That's it! Now you can make programs of your choice! I hope you've liked my article!

And when someone purchases something from flipkart following your affiliate link,you get a percentage commision of that sale! It's cool! You don't need to actively sale anything to anybody,still you get commission for each sale. My 3Days 2Night Weekend Trip to Dooars North Bengal,Day 2 - Elephant Ride at Jhallong Bungalow,Murti Resort

Hello My Dear Friends,

I'm Sujoy,and this is my 2nd day tour diary of my My 3Days 2Night Weekend Trip to Dooars North Bengal, covering Elephant Ride at Jhallong Bungalow,Murti Resort. To read about my yesterday's trip,click here.

Today I woke up at 4:30am in the morning for the elephant ride,which I booked yesterday evening. More details given in my previous article. At sharp 5am,tour started. We were in Tata Safari car,heading towards the Jhallong Bungalow,which is around 5km from Jaldapara Tourist Lodge. There are only two elephant rides per day,first is from 5:30am-6:30am,next safari is from 6:30am-7:30am. After reaching the Jhallong Bungalow,we had to wait for another 45 minutes to get other teams arrive. Lazy people!

The elephant ride started from Jhallong Bungalow. Near the bungalow,there's a cement platform,you've to climb to it,elephant will be standing adjacent to it,then it becomes very easy to ride onto the elephant. Even elderly people can easily ride the elephant with this arrangement. 4 persons + 1 elephant pilot are allowed per elephant. Behind us,3 more elephants followed with other tourists. After getting onto the elephant,when it first started walking,I felt very uncomfortable. It seems like I'm over a moving earthquake! Sometimes left,sometimes right,oh my god! But after 10 minutes or so,I completely forgot the feeling and started enjoying.

As soon as we entered the jungle,I enjoyed the sound of birds, moistness of fresh jungle air, clean greenaries. A feeling immediately came into my mind that these jungle and wildlife are our national treasure,we must preserve them for our future generation,and of course for the planet Earth. The elephants are well trained,they easily went through the trees into the jungle. There are some small streams in the jungle,I was enthrilled when it crossed the stream. Chapp..chapp...chapp,sound of water was coming with every step of the animal! I felt like I'm covering the stream flying! We also met other elephants near the stream.

We first spotted some wild cuckoos,and one peacock. Ahead our path,there was one wild berry tree,we could easily have grasp of it from top,we picked some! It's fun! Suddenly the elephant was hurled to stop. What happened? The pilot indicated near elephant's legs,he just managed to save some eggs of peacock! They were of twice of size of duck eggs. Later we also spotted some beautiful birds on the trees. Next,we confronted another stream,walking through it,we saw the most anticipated animal of the day- the rhino! There's a huge rhino just 15 feet away from us! Half body under water. It just opened its mouth as we approached it! Like telling- hey stay there,don't disturb me. We took some cool photos of it! I also spotted the light-house far away, where I went yesterday during jungle safari!

It's return time! Our elephants rode us back to the Hollong Bungalow. On our way back bungalow,sky got covered with black clouds and it started thundering. As soon as we entered the Hollong Bungalow,it started raining heavily. We were so lucky to have finished the elephant ride in the first trip,people who were in second trip got terribly drenched in rain! Almost after 50 minutes when rain stopped,we returned to Jaldapara Lodge.

During the breakfast in dining hall,I met a nice family. They had booking in Murti Tourist Lodge (Murti Resort),another lodge of West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited. I did not have any plan myself,so I joined them.

Soon after the breakfast,we checked out from the lodge at around 11am and headed towards the Murti Tourist Lodge in a Maruti Omni Van. We reached the lodge at around 2:30pm. Car cost Rs 1200. The road is just fantastic,it's smooth,wide and with beautiful landscapes on the either side. We crossed Goodrick Tea Estate and some other tea estates on our way. We passed parallel to some mountains and a saw bridge on a dry river. We stopped there to enjoy the scenic beauty. The river stretched far to the mountains,with a nice panoramic view to offer. The sky is clear blue there,not like dull blue sky in cities.

Before entering the Murti Lodge,we found that the small bridge over the Murti River is broken. Because of that we had to leave the car on the other side of the river and took our shoes off to cross the river bare-footed! Wow! The water was little cold and was crystal clear. We could see all the stones on the riverbed. The stream was moderate as it's not rainy season and water level was below our knees. The Murti Tourist Lodge(named Banani) is situated on the bank of River Murti. On the other side of the river,there's dense forest. Food is good at Banani,as I got to know from my co-travellers.

They had online booking in Murti Lodge,called Banani, you can book it online at-
http://app.westbengaltourism.gov.in/WBTBooking/wbtdc.html).

I did not have the booking so I went out to find an accommodation for myself as the Murti Lodge was full that day. I found an accommodation at- Dooars Residency. This lodge is good but little bit inside from the road. But anyway,it has four separate deluxe cottages,I got one. The rate is 1350 per cottage,but after little bargaining and as it was just start of the season,I got it at 1000 for a night,foods extra. Good deal! Whereas they had to pay 1500 for their room in Murti Lodge! From inside,the cottage is like any other hotel room with all amenities like jumbo double bed,Tv,wardrobe,attached bath with geyser etc.

We spend that day idle,enjoying good meal in our respective lodges,with sight of Murti River nearby. Good sight, fresh air, full of hospitality, what else do you need to spend a leisure day! We all needed a day like this apart from all hustles and bustles of our daily life!! In the evening we took a nice walk in the neighborhood alongside the Murti River and surroundings! My hotel staff told me to be a little alert as sometimes during the summer elephants come to Murti River to drink water. They also stand silently in the darks in the roadside! My day 2 ended like this!!
Coming up,day 3- Our seven point tour to Jhallong-Bindoo, to the farthest point of West Bengal,border of Bhutan and India, Jaldhaka Hydel Power Plant, rubber garden, Malbazar Hanuman Temple etc; all in my tour diary of day 3!

My 3Days 2Night Weekend Trip to Dooars North Bengal,Day 1 - Jaldapara National Park

Hello my dear friends!

I'm Sujoy. I'm back with an exciting travel tale this time. I'd like to write it in 'travel diary' style,I hope you'll like it. So,lets start it.

I went to North Bengal on first week of May on a 3 days trip. On one weekend night, I boarded the Tista-Torsa Express from Malda at 10:15pm. Which took me to 'Falakata' at 7:15am next morning,the train was 2hrs late(!). Falakata is one entry point to Jaldapara,which is 19km from there. From Falakata station I took cycle-rickshaw to Falakata bus stand for 10rs. From there I took a tracker for 'Madarihat More' at the cost of 10rs. Jaldapara National Park (previously Jaldapara Wildlife Sanctuary) gate is 1.2km from Madarihat More.

Upon reaching the gate,I got to know that at morning there is no guided tour inside the jungle. I've to wait till 3:30pm in the afternoon for the guided jeep tour in the jungle. And tickets for the same can be booked from  the Jaldapara Tourist Lodge,2km ahead. He instructed me to get a photocopy of my ID card from Madarihat More,which will be needed for registration for the jungle tour.

After the photocopy,I headed to the Tourist Lodge. I booked a dormitory at 300rs per night + 5% service tax = 315 Rs charge. It's the best place to stay in Jaldapara. The tourist lodge is run by West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation Limited (WBTDCL), govt of West Bengal undertaking. And the best part is,you can book Jaldapara Tourist Lodge and other lodges of WBTDCL online in advance at http://app.westbengaltourism.gov.in/WBTBooking/wbtdc.html

They have two dormitories,one having 5 beds in one room,another having 7 beds. So,you've to share the room :-(  But,fortunately,that day the dormitory was vacant,so I enjoyed full privacy :-)
They have normal Non-AC Deluxe Double Bedded room @1200, A.C Delux Double Bedded Room @ 1760, A.C. Deluxe Double Bedded Room (Brick) @ 1600, Cottage @ 2000, AC Suite @ 2400. Their checkout time is 10am.

The lodge is very good,good in every aspect; from hospitality to facilities. The manager is very good and helpful,he also gives you best tourist plan to enjoy your short/long trip to the Dooars if you have rushed to there quite unplanned like me.

Next, I took a good shower and headed for lunch to the dining hall of the lodge. They have thali-system (also called meal system) or you can order individual items according to your taste,price is quite reasonable. I ordered the Paneer Thali @ 160rs. It had one full plate of Paneer masala curry (quantity is superb!) and fine rice and dal with one veg curry. The taste of food was quite good,and surrounding jungle beauty added another charm to the taste! I finished my lunch in hurry and headed to the booking counter in the lodge premises for afternoon's Jungle Safari.

Although the ride starts at 3:30pm, people starts queuing from 2pm or so. They allow six tourists in the
jeep + one govt tourist guide + one driver; total 8 persons on the jeep. Rate is 1500 for a jeep,all inclusive. You can book the whole jeep yourself if you want. I shared it with one team having 5 persons. For
registration,you've to fill-up one form providing general details such as number and names of persons in the
trip,coming from,staying in,permanent address etc; with photocopy of any one member's ID card.

The ride started sharp at 3:30pm, along with us 6 more jeeps started. We entered to the jungle from
Jaldapara National Park gate,which I visited in the morning. I never entered a national park before,so I was enjoying everything! From occasional glimpses of peacocks,road crossing by squirrels,innocent looks of deers at our jeep and then running in shock. The guide stopped the jeep in places to give us the view of wild animals when he spotted them. Our jeep stopped at our first watch tower,we got out of jeep and climbed up to the watch tower. From there the guide showed us a rhino at around 800-900m distance near a water body.

Jaldapara is famous for one horn rhinos,and we're were lucky to have a view of that! I was lucky in many ways I'll tell later in this article! We again got into the jeeps and headed for our next watch tower. From there we got a magnificent view of wild elephants from just 15m away. There was a team of 3 wild elephants,two
gathered in the salt-lick (a hole in the soil filled with salt,where herbivorous animals come to lick salt) next to the watch tower. Both were male,so we were expecting a elephant fight......but nothing happened :-(
After they passed by,guide instructed us to return. In the return trip.....oh my god!

As soon we took return journey,we spotted a crowd of wild Bisons. There was around 40 of them or
more! Seeing our jeep,some of them crossed the road in death hurry! And some starred to our jeep in
extreme surprise and fear. As our jeep slowly started scrolling,some who hadn't crossed the road,ran
back in jungle. It was a thrilling and fearful at the same time. We also spotted some Sambar Deers. One
funny thing,we spotted a peacock seated at the top of a tree!

We returned to the lodge at around 5:10pm. The next task was to get our booking for tomorrow's early
morning elephant ride. As soon as I get out of the jeep,I rushed to the same booking counter. The rule
for the elephant ride is- they allow only 4 persons on one elephant. The fees is 600rs for elephant +
60rs for Elephant driver + petrol and parking charge for the jeep which will take you to Holong Tourist Lodge. So,for 4 persons it becomes around (660*4)+ 260 = 2900rs. Again as being single,I joined another team of 7 people and shared the charge! This time,another form fill-up,but no photocopy required. So, after getting my registration confirmed,I headed to my room for a rest.

So friends,this was my day 1 of my 3 days and 2 night trip in Dooars. How was my writing? Did you enjoy
my writing? Please let me know in the comments below. More on my next article on day 2. Your appreciation matters a lot for me. So please give your views and join my blog by "join this blog" option at right hand side. Thanks for reading! I'd highly recommend you to join my YouTube channel ,details below.

Online Booking Guide- If you want to book your room in any govt tourist lodge/resort, it's advisable to book it at least 1 or 2 month earlier that your trip day. It's very hard to get instant bookings in Murti Resort, Jaldapara Tourist Lodge,Jhallong Bungalow etc as rooms are booked from 3 months in advance by many tourists.

Duration of Trip- A 3-5 days trip is good for covering the Jaldapara and surrounding.

How to Reach Jaldapara National Park from Kolkata-
There are various ways to reach Jaldapara from Kolkata. Nearby train stations are Hasimara and Falakata both are around 19km from Jaldapara. Nearby bus stand is Madarihat,which is around 1km from Jaldapara National Park.
By road- Buses for Siliguri departs from Kolkata Esplanade(Dharmatala) bus stand. Then from Siliguri you can go to Jaldapara by hired car/or by train. But travel by bus is not always a better idea.
By train- Trains like Kanchan Kanya Exp,Kanchenjunga Exp,Howrah Guwahati Weekly Exp goes to Hasimara(19km from Jaldapara). How To Change Registered Mobile Number For SBI Freedom Mobile Banking Application?

Hi friends,

I'm Sujoy,and I'm back to blogging after a long time. Today I'm writing this post about a problem which happened with me and how I solved that. I'm using SBI Freedom Mobile Banking since last 3 years. But recently I've changed my mobile number and I also updated that in my SBI A/c by written application to my branch.

But the problem started when I tried using SBI Freedom application on my old phone with new SIM. It was working fine with the old SIM on that phone just before inserting the new SIM. And when I tried opening the app with my old user name,it opened. But while trying to do any transactions,it gave me errors- Your A/c is not enabled for transactions over GPRS,go to setting and enable it. When I tried doing the same,it asked for MPIN and gave me message- GPRS Activation In Progress,You'll Be Notified When It Activates. But nothing happend. Sometimes I also got message like- Error code 915,wrong MPIN etc.

So,how to fix it? In short,the process is to deregister the old number,and re-register from the new number. But,how to do it?

DEREGISTRATION PROCESS FOR SBI MOBILE BANKING (SBI FREEDOM)-
==========================================================
There are 3 processes for deregistration of the old number.

1. SMS SDEREG to 9223440000 from your old SIM. You will receive a message “User de registered successfully”.

2. Run the application on your phone with the old sim,and go to settings,and click on de-register,and follow the procedure.

3. Contact your branch for deregistration.

NEW REGISTRATION PROCESS FOR SBI MOBILE BANKING (SBI FREEDOM)-
==============================================================
After you have successfully deregistered your old number. Type a message MBSREG on your new sim and send it to 9223440000. You'll get a new User ID & MPIN by sms. Now,open the SBI Freedom Mobile app,and login using new User ID. Change the MPIN you received by going to settings,and click on Change MPIN. Enter the MPIN you just got via sms in Old MPIN field and enter your new MPIN twice. Note down this new MPIN,you'll require this MPIN along with the User ID for all your transactions using this application.

Now,you'll get an sms stating that verification from handset is complete,now you have to register your new mobile number to use the service. You can do it in 3 ways.

1. Go to nearest SBI ATM,enter your card and go to Mobile Banking Registration,enter your mobile number and follow the procedure.

2. If you have net banking activated,you can register your new mobile number using it. Just go to e-Services > SBI Freedom and Click on Registration. Enter the newly received User ID and your current MPIN.

3. Visit your nearest SBI branch and register your new number for Mobile Banking.

HOW TO CHANGE BEARER SETTING TO GPRS IN SBI FREEDOM-
===================================================
One final setting to do. Go to Settings,click on Change Channel and select GPRS. And follow the procedures. You may have to enter your current MPIN.

So friends,this was my tutorial on SBI Freedom. I hope it was helpful to you. If you like it,kindly share it on your facebook/twitter/google+ & other social platform. You may help someone else by sharing!
